MID SUSSEX GOLF CLUB - guide price - £1.6m. Sold January 2011 to an existing local operator.

FARLEIGH COURT GOLF CLUB, CROYDON - HMH were instructed by an existing golf club owner to find a suitable investment within a 2 hour drive from London. After conducting a thorough search of possible opportunities this acquisition was negotiated and completed towards the end of 2010.

ROYAL BENDINAT GOLF CLUB, MALLORCA - with a guide price of £3-4m for 51% of the issued shares in the owning company, HMH were instructed to covertly market this club. After receiving offers from international purchasers, the club was eventually sold to a local golf course owner.

LEATHERHEAD GOLF CLUB, SURREY - guide price - £3m. Sold in January 2011. The purchaser operates other clubs in the UK.

THE PARK RESORT, AVON - guide price £6m. HMH acquired this 36 hole golf and hotel complex at below the guide price on behalf of its former owner beating off a number of other bidders. With a number of transactions under offer HMH expect the next 6 months to be just as busy.
The directors say "We are finding that more and more buyers are coming to us for advice as they perceive there to be opportunities in the marketplace. We are finding no shortage of buyers for clubs which are sensibly priced and have had good success with off market acquisitions"
